Feminist Filmmaker

I want to share this photo with y’all because this here is what it’s all about. Producer/Director Sarah Moshman and her team have been on a journey that started with a dream, an indiegogo campaign, a 5 woman crew road trip across the country interviewing all kinds of women, and i don’t even know how many months in post…and THIS…this is what it’s all about. Over 1000 people IN JUST THIS VENUE (they’ve been screening all over the country) have been impacted and empowered by a beautiful, heartfelt, funny, and important piece of cinema. We are all capable of not only living a life straight from our dreams, but of using our art (or whatever your power is) to change the world for the better. If you haven’t seen "The Empowerment Project" Documentary I highly recommend you find a screening. In the meantime, keep moving forward. You may not see your dreams manifesting at this second…or maybe you are living them but are too focused on something else to recognize it…or even more likely all of the moments that happen are building to something even greater than you are even dreaming of (and stop taking that for granted! you know who you are! yeah, see, you just got all defensive haha).  Whatever is happening right now, revel in every moment, enjoy the journey, but most importantly know that you are capable of things greater than you could ever have imagined. <3 Congrats to the #EmpowermentProject!!!

Morals over Money

Just had to say no to a directing gig this morning. Im just not Ok with women objectifying themselves for view counts. We have to be the change we want to see.... And no that doesn't mean objectifying men to be equal. Haha. What do you think? Women should totally do what they want with their bodies, but do you think it's ok to shake their asses for the camera in order to get view counts?

#wcw no.2 is 13 yr old @monedavis11. She made history last week by becoming only the 11th female to compete in the Little League World Series, and the first female to pitch a game shutout. Now she has been featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated for her badass-ness in baseball, which in itself is awesome that they featured a fully clothed woman AND spoke about her achievements rather than her physical appearance.⚾️🙅#monedavis #littleleagueworldseries #instagood #girls #women #pitcher #fastball #love #inspire #athlete #badass #makinghistory #whoruntheworld #picoftheday #bestoftheday (at www.girltalkhq.com)
